Dear Fellow Athletes.
In this Volume of The OC Articles, we will be addressing a major question we have all asked ourselves, lately:
“I’m not sure I want to come back to the gym yet. What should I do when you reopen?”
To all of you who have asked this questions recently, please see our humble opinion below:
We understand you’re hesitant to come back to the gym right away. We get it. There’s lots of articles out there stating this and that about cleanliness, social distancing and a whole bunch of other COVID topics.
We want you to know that we’ve taken an incredible amount of diligence in creating the cleanest, most pristine and organized post COVID gym in Ottawa. There’s no doubt in our minds that we are ready to thrive post COVID!
If you’re still unsure about returning we will continue to provided our Orleans CrossFit Home (OCHOME) workouts 6 days a week which will be sure to keep you active and on the right track to accomplishing your fitness goals. That being said, OCHOME will not have as many live classes as there were during isolation, for the reason that we need all our staff at the gym to ensure we continue to run Orleans CrossFit at the highest level.
A great way to approach this situation could be by doing OCHOME a few days a week and then signing up for a class at the gym even if it’s once a week at first so we can show you first hand that Orleans CrossFit is a safe place to train. We feel this will encourage you and build confidence to slowly start coming back on a regular basis.
In addition to of our regular scheduled classes and OCHOME we offer 1-on-1 personal training. This could be a great alternative if you’re not ready for the group setting yet but would like to train at the gym rather than at home.
The hardest part of starting a fitness journey is walking into the gym. Everything else becomes simple after that. This situation is similar. The hardest part to post COVID training is walking into the gym (again). It will all become simple again over time. Trust us.
We hope you’ll take this into consideration as we are thrilled to be opening again and want nothing but our community to be back and feeling great about themselves.
We hope this article was helpful for many! As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to any of your coaches or send us an email at info@orleanscrossfit.ca.
